She Doesn T Care

"I, Sylvester Samuel Kingsley, Alpha of Moon Shadow pack reject you, Delphi Lillian Westworld, as my mate and the packs Luna." He spoke the words no werewolf dared to think of. Coward.

"Oh my god, please, please, don't do this- it hurts. I'm begging you. I'll be the best mate ever. Please, I'll do anything you want just don't reject me," I said, sobbing over dramatically while his face twisted in recognisable confusion.

"You thought I'll be like those pathetic she-wolves you empty yourself in?" I spat at him, wiping the fake tears from the corner of my eyes. "That's cute." I continued.

"I'm your Alpha." He said as he recovered from his initial shock. His tone was enough to make my wolf bend but not me.

"Well, hello, Mr Alpha. But you see I don't care about your position at the moment." I hissed, venomously. "What are you all looking at? Never seen a coward reject his mate? " I scowled at the crowd which had formed seeing the internecine feud.

"Did you just call me a coward? " Mr Alpha spoke, outraged at the audacity of a mere pack member back mouthing him.

"Oh, bite me," I muttered sarcastically and walked away.
"You have single handedly destroyed my first day, congratulations." I groaned one last time, looking at his rage filled face.

I started taking my food when a hand grabbed my shoulder leaving a tingling feeling, I knew it was my so-called mate.

He dragged me to the exit and continued walking till we reached a quiet corner.

"I know you want me and all but I really don't do people like you." I said monotonously as he turned to face me.
"Want you? Did you not hear what I did few minutes ago? I rejected you!" I just stared blankly at him as he spoke. His heartless reply did little to phase my reactions.

"Really? You call that a rejection? " I laughed humourlessly. "Honey, rejection is when you accept something first. You didn't even try sparing me a glance. Honestly, that's okay. I'll find someone better, more compatible and especially with more brains and dignity." After my rant I turned to walk away seeing the end of the conversation. But as usual he stopped me.

"Who do you think you're to talk to me like that?" He growled as I rolled my eyes.

"Someone who has guts to stand up to unreasonable bullying." I replied jerking my hand out of his.

"Unreasonable bullying?" He exasperated running his hand through his black hair turning them in different directions "I rejected you because I don't want a mate now. Probably never will." I was stunned at his crude words but I knew not to show emotions.

"Oh my, you hurt my feelings. What would I do now? My mate doesn't want me. Oh my goodness, I have no life now." I deadpanned.

"What is wrong with you? Can you not feel?" He questioned. I felt my heart clench at his words, I used to feel but I promised myself I wouldn't let anything hurt me, not after what happened to him.

"Ironic coming from you, isn't it?" I chuckled. "I do feel but not for people like you. You want me to accept your rejection and let it go easy? Honey, it doesn't work that way. If you want to induce pain, give me a fair chance to return the favour." I smiled sweetly at him and turned flipping my hair over my shoulder.

My next class wasn't of any comfort as people gave me perplexed looks, some looked at me with pity while some looked proud of what I had done. Every wolf understood the weight of rejection and one by an Alpha is sort of twice as worse. They are sworn by blood to protect you forever as a leader.

"That was some badass shit." I was walking past the seat when a redhead spoke.

"Er," I hesitated taking in her features. She had green eyes which were lined with dark liner giving an edge to her badass look. Her clothes consisted of a pair of black skinny jeans, white tank top showing of her arm which was inked magnificently. The outfit was completed with black combat boots.

"I just look mean, I'm actually a nice person." She said chuckling seeing my mind racing. "I'm Lola Kent." She held her hand out for me to shake which I took gratefully, happy to have made a friend in this toxic environment.

"Delphi."
"Oh, I know your name alright. Everyone does." She laughed heartily.

The session started, making me take a seat beside Lola. I'm usually not the kinds who hangs out with badass people but Lyra, my wolf, took an instant liking towards her.

She resembled him a lot. Remembering him brought a sudden wave of sadness over me like it always did. Few months aren't enough.

The session dragged on and thankfully my next class was only five minutes after. We didn't do much actually, the professor just explained details about wounds and how to identify them.

"Hey, can I get your number?" Lola asked me, honestly her name does no justice to her character.
"Sure, here." I typed it in her mobile and handed it back to her.

"Where's your next class?" She asked.
"I have," I trailed off shuffling through my memory to recall the number "room 24."

"Great, it's the third room on the right. Also, find Tyler and sit with him." Before I could ask her who he was, she took off.
I followed her directions and entered the small room facing a dias. How am I supposed to find Tyler? I have no idea how he looks.

"Hey, there." Someone spoke behind me, his accent having a Italian tinge. I turned to come face to face with a chest. Trailing my eyes up, I concluded he was the schools bad boy. His tousled black hair, piercing blue eyes screamed trouble. A lip ring on the corner of her lips.

"Hello." I greeted politely, still looking around for the guy named Tyler.
"Who are you looking for?" The guy in front of me asked.

"A guy named Tyler." I muttered absentmindedly.
"Well, you found him." He spoke, amused.

" I did?" Confusion coating my words till I understood the reference.

"Oh." Obviously he would be Lola's friend. Who did I expect? Mr. Golden boy?
"Lola told me to sit with you, if that's okay with you." I said shifting under her gaze.

"Are you kidding me? You are the first one to ever stand up to Sylvester's attitude. You're my official idol." He said.

"Oh, it wasn't anything much." He must have noticed my uncomfortable demeanour so he decided to change the topic.

"Let's grab a seat."
The class was boring to say the least, I had to stop myself from dozing off a couple of times.

I felt like jumping in my seat by the end of it.
"Don't you look happy." Tyler said as soon as we got out.

"It was so boring inside." I said dragging the 'o'.
"Tell me about it. It's always like that by the way."
"Way to make me feel better, Tyler." I muttered narrowing my eyes at him.

I was about to add a few more words but my phone vibrated in my pokect.

Unknown : Hey, it's Lola here. Meet me near "the place". Tyler will take you.

"Er, any idea about "the place"" I air quoted.
"Oh, yeah. Come on."
I followed him to a tree outside campus and spotted a familiar red head.

"Hey, Lola." Tyler greeted her by kissing her cheek.
"Hi, Lola."
"Hello, I'm glad you both found each other." She said sitting down on the grass under the tree. My next class was in twenty minutes so I had time to sit and talk.

"Which pack do you guys belong to?" I inquired. The college had many packs studying as it was the only medical college in the area. Also, a werewolf can't study in a normal medical college as he or she needs to know about the anatomy of a wolf.

"We both belong to the Half Blood Pack." Lola replied.
"Oh, it's a bit far from here right?" I remembered my mother talking about it.

"Yeah, it isn't that far. Anyhow, Tyler and I have decided to be your guardian angels." While Lola was talking Tyler had popped a cigarette in his mouth and started smoking.

"You know that's unhealthy right?" I told him.
Yeah, for humans. We are werewolves remember? Good immune system." Tyler replied.

Werewolves did have a good immune system and fast healing but I had no idea it applied to cigarettes too. How does a fast metabolism mend a damaged lung?
"Anyhow, guardian angels?" I asked as I registered Lola's words.

"Yeah, we thought you would like to bite the Alpha in the ass." Tyler winked at me.
"What do you have in mind?" They immediately gained my interest. A part of me wanted nothing to do with him, I really did not care at that point to get back at him.

"Mission: Payback."

********
What do you think? I know he is an Alpha and it is wrong for her to disrespect him like that, but she isn't his pack member. She's his mate. It overrides the rules. A luna and Alpha are equals.

Love,
Rojesta 💜
