Road To Jannah

"When you feel you've lost everything, remind yourself that you haven't lost Allah."

______

As the lamps struggled to glow in the darkness, a torn soul sat there still, to struggle against the tornado of sadness. Staring at the crumbled piece of paper millionth time, he sighed. Everyone in the world knew what he was going through although this was the last thing he wanted to happen. The souls who struggle through the darkest of night without enlightening the world are no doubt to be given the title of true warriors.

"And you do not know Abdullah but Allah knows." he repeated the verses to himself sitting alone in the darkness while swinging in the garden. No matter how old you get, the swing in the garden always had the power to lighten the mood.

Abdullah stared at the paper once again which was hit directly to his skull from one of the windows of Rida's house which had a blot of some words written on it hurriedly.

"And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you..."

"And Allah know but you do not know." Abdullah completed the missing part of the ayah which Rida had jotted down for him. He was thankful to her for the reminder but over thinking does leave people depressed.

"What's up bro?" Ahmish came by and sat along Abdullah on the swing.

"Nothing just a quality time alone." said Abdullah and Ahmish raised an eyebrow to that. Abdullah had always been fun loving and his quality time meant to be surrounded by people.

"I see."

"Why don't you give a visit to Ayesha for sometime? You'll feel good." Ahmish said after a couple of silence which fell between the two.

"Like I don't have any other thing to do here. I have my job and then I can't even leave my classes." Abdullah replied.

"You can take leave. Anyways I came here to talk to you about something."

"About what?"

"Umm about my life and yours."

"Go on then. I am listening." Abdullah said as he folded back the paper and kept in his side pocket.

"You know I loved Shirana right?"

"Yeah how can we forget that Mr Romeo." Abdullah smirked at his name which was given to Ahmish by his siblings.

"And you remember how she was engaged to someone else and I nearly had lost her but Allah gave me something in return."

"Yeah man, you got your Juliet back."

"No I am talking about something else, before he gave me Shirana there was something which I obtained."

"And what was it?" Abdullah asked curiously looking at him.

"Sabr. Allah gave me sabr to overcome the disasters of my life. I was going through the rollercoaster of emotions but then I realised that I am being sad for something which Allah didn't want me to have, Allah didn't decree it for me. It was me who was weak and had expected in life something which wasn't good for me because Allah knows and I do not know about the future. It may be that I was loving a thing that wasn't good for me in the future which also includes my afterlife. You need to note down that sometimes we want something with much intensity and we forcefully obtain it while we are equally happy in this life with it but who takes the guarantee that it'll be beneficial for us in the Hereafter too? It is Allah who gives us with what we want when we are not aware about the need because it is not just our need of this life but the Hereafter. Allah says in the Qur'an in surah 'Ala "But you prefer the worldly life while the Hereafter is better and more enduring." And when I was entirely content with what Allah has decreed for me, Allah brought back Shirana to me. Now when I think about those events I realise that Shirana was decreed for me by Allah even before I was born or even when this universe was created but Allah was testing me. Had I been arrogant and boastful towards the plan of Allah, may be I would have lost the battle even after winning Shirana."

"Woah that was something I needed. In Sha Allah I am trying bhai, I just need time." said Abdullah after observing the passion in his brother's eyes.

It was all PLANNED.

"And do not think that after being content with Allah's decree you'll end up just like I ended. Every story is different, every story is unique, but there's something common in every great story. It teaches SABR. You just need to pay attention. I do not say that your love will come back to you but I'd rather say that may be you are trying to fit in a wrong story; may be you are trying to be a hero of the story, the title of which has been already declared to someone else; may be you were playing just a side role in someone else's story and may be its not the end of your story because your story hasn't even started yet. May be because Allah knows and we do not."

Every great story screams silently about sabr and every great war is won by the sword of sabr. He was on a war to battle with his own soul. May be he had loved the sky knowing that it couldn't be touched.

"Come in." Ayesha dragged Nikita, the new neighbor to her room when Ayesha caught her going somewhere.

"Niki." Chirped up Khadija as she saw Nikita entering the room while Khadija and Mariam were engaged in coloring the art book.

"Khadija she's elder to you, don't call Nikita aunty by her name." Ayesha corrected her little one.

"No that's fine." uttered Nikita taking the little one's side.

"No wonder you're spoiling the children but but.. they really like you." Ayesha remarked to which Nikita smiled.

"By the way, you can remove your scarf from your face since I am not allowing you to leave until we have some tea time." Ayesha insisted to which Nikita sighed.

"I really have to go Ayesha, it's important."

"I am not even listening to you, I've been hearing this since past week." Ayesha declared.

"But..."

"No ifs and no buts. Make yourself comfortable here and I'll be right back." Ayesha mumbled before she left the kids with Nikita. Nikita enjoyed to be with the little ones and so she mostly spend time with children, be it here or at work.

"How's aunty and uncle?" Ayesha questioned as she barged in with a tray full of snacks.

"Umm I live alone actually."

"Ohh I am so sorry."

"No that's completely okay." Assured Nikita as there was a couple of silence while Ayesha placed the tray on the bed.

"So why don't you get married. Hmm? I'll make sure you get this done before I leave this city." Ayesha announced as she tried to lighten the atmosphere and laughed a little on it.

"Why don't you have some? Come on open your scarf, you are too shy." Ayesha remarked.

"But..."

"I said no buts." While stating this, Ayesha stood herself to open up the scarf of Nikita and the moment she removed Ayesha gasped while Khadija and Mariam who were busy eating from the tray his behind Ayesha.

The right side of her face was brutally burnt as if she had been a victim of acid attack. Nikita was hurt again by the reactions of the people who just visualized her face. The pity expressions people give on how she looked felt like a torture. The shock on their faces made her heart cramped with discomfort. The agony of her discomfort could be seen all over her face but people were still adamant to continuously look at her with the same feeling. She craved the feeling to be treated normal without a look of sympathy. Her eyes were glossy before she decided to wear back her scarf but Ayesha caught her hand to stop.

"You are beautiful." As Ayesha uttered those three magical words to her, a tear escaped eyes and before she could burst into tears Ayesha hugged her after wiping off her tears. In a world where people would throw pitiable comments, the world needs people who would leave a beautiful comment which would make her feel comfortable.

"I didn't want these kids to hate me. Usually the kids run away from me when they actually look at my face."

"Why will they hate you? Khadija and Mariam, it's the same Nikita aunty whom you love. Come on shake hands with her." Ordered Ayesha and the kids shook their hands with her to which Nikita giggled, her eyes still moistened.

After the call from her work, Nikita left leaving Ayesha regret over the questions about her family and later the comment of marriage. Allah hasn't prohibited something without a reason, there's always wisdom behind his orders. No matter how curious we are, we should restrain from asking personal questions from others. Curiosity may kill the cat, but we should not let it kill our imaan leaving behind what does not concern us.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Part of a person's being a good Muslim is leaving alone that which does not concern him." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2318); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

Ayesha called Ahmad to ask him what should she do after she had hurt her new friend but he didn't pick up the call.

She was disturbed with the groups messages so she opened up to see the new Queen who was sidra_khan

The last answer was nine. "We gave Moses nine clear signs." [Quran 17:101].

Q) What was the age of our beloved Prophet when his grand father Abdul Muttalib died?

After answering the question, the next one to strike Ayesha's mind was Hana. She was a girl who would handle these sensitive situations more eloquently than others. Before she could unlock her mobile to call Hana, her mobile beeped up with a caller ID she couldn't believe. She couldn't believe that at last she had called after being snappy for so many days. It was actually Hana who was calling her and the time couldn't be more perfect.

She hurriedly swiped the answer button while leaning the phone against her ear and said "Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu madam, so at last you were missing me?"

"Walaikum Cham Asha." It wasn't just Asmah speaking from the other side but also an expectation shattering at the same time.

SHE HAD THOUGHT IT WAS HANA.

"Asha you know mamma doesn't let me call you but mamma has gone for chopping for khala's nikah and she forgot her mobile because I had hidden it under the bed." Ayesha closed her eyes to hear the little one speak as she missed her naughtiness.

"Khala's nikah?" Ayesha questioned flipping her eyes open.

"Yech mamma says that khala will go with her husband next weak but I don't want her to go Asha. You know Asha one boy came to see Khala and now Khala will go with her. He said that he will take my kha..." And before Asmah could finish her never ending tales, Ayesha declined the call.

It was just a month since she rejected the proposal of Abdullah, she had accepted someone else's proposal? And she couldn't even inform her about this? They were still best friends, she craved the long conversations that the two best friends use to have, she had missed the secret talks they used to share, she had missed the advice of her best friend who wasn't less than a mother's advice. She had missed her all this while but did Hana miss her the same way she did? No. If she would have, then she wouldn't have hidden this good news from her.
