Road To Jannah

"One bad chapter doesn't mean your story is over."

______

"Aww my poor baby needs the diaper to be changed." Shirana exclaimed as Yusuf, her youngest son grinned with shyness. Shirana was preparing curry in the afternoon as her little son disturbed her. She turned the flame low while taking her son towards the washroom of the hallway. She tried to open the door of the washroom but it seemed like someone was already there. She waited for a while and then knocked as her curry could be in danger of being burned.

"Is someone in? My flush isn't working so I thought to come here. I'll ask Ahmish to call the plumber today itself." Ahmish's mother spoke as she joined Shirana in a while.

"And I don't want to climb up as my curry is cooking on low heat. I need to run for it."

"Abdullah your bad habit of prolonging the use of washroom hasn't left you yet." spoke the old lady while thumping on the door.

"Sheesh ammi, I don't prolong the use of washroom." said Abdullah as he came running down the stairs.

"No one knows you better than your mom." said ammi as she kept her hands on her waist.

"Really, how much time do I take?" Abdullah said as he came to stand near his ammi folding his chest and raising an eyebrow.

"If you are here then who is inside?" Shirana gasped at the thought dismissing the debate that was going on between the mother and son.

"I had to get my watch from the washroom as I left it last time when I came here to do wudu. But whose inside?" Abdullah said as he knocked the door once again.

"Ahmish has gone to office and Fatima and Ibrahim are playing out there." Shirana thought for a while and said counting the number of members in the family.

"Then whose there?" Abdullah said as the other two wondered at the question. Who could it be? Anyone from the neighbor? Any thief or a murderer? They could only think the best they could and started banging the door with a loud thump.

"Come out or else I'll straightaway call the police." Said Abdullah being stern in his voice but no voice came in return.

After few minutes of knock, the door finally creaked with an opening sound and all the eyes were stuck at the door in horror. Who could it be?

"You people cannot let me use the washroom peacefully." Ahmish stepped out of the washroom grumpily as he loosened his tie.
Everyone present there took a sigh of relief at sight of Ahmish.

"When did you come back?" Shirana pondered as this wasn't the time of his arrival.

"Well that was a sweet welcome of your hubby, assalamu alaikum madame." said Ahmish sarcastically to his wife to which she gave a tight lip smile followed by the answer of his greeting.

"We are also here." Abdullah declared as their ammi made her way to the washroom leaving the three behind.

"Oh yeah the one who was willing to call the police, salam to you too." Ahmish rolled his eyes towards Abdullah to which Abdullah smirked.

"Ammi was blaming me for extending the time in washroom while she forgot her elder son." Abdullah's smirk grew wider.

"But why so soon." Shirana wondered and Ahmish explained that he had some work nearby and so he thought to have lunch with his family and then proceed with the work.

"Is something burning?" said Abdullah sniffing his nose.

"Oh my God, it's my curry." gasped Shirana while she looked around to find something and said "where's Yusuf? I came here to change his diaper. Allah I need to go, Ahmish
Please find Yusuf and change his diaper, my curry is burning."

"See bro. That's how you run a house with a successful marriage. Ugh I am back from work and now I have to change the diaper of the kid and in return you get burned food as a prize." Sighed Ahmish and Abdullah threw his head back laughing.

"Tch tch I pity you." teased Abdullah but his heart echoed 'I pity me more.' At least Ahmish had his love with him, no matter how many difficulties he faces while Co ordinating his married life, at least at the end of the day he had a wife as a coolness to his eyes. But in this case Abdullah was the one who had lost the battle without even fighting for it because may be Allah had written something else in his qadr.

Ahmish- Bruh can you please pick up Ibrahim and Fatima while returning home in the evening as I dropped them in the afternoon to Rahil uncle's house but now I am extremely busy to go that side of the city. If it wasn't important I wouldn't have asked you.

Abdullah- Okay.

Abdullah sighed as he jumped to take his seat on the bike. It was time to return back home but thanks to his big bro, he has to now go to Rida's house to pick up the kids. He would have said a clear no but the last line of the text made him say yes because if it wasn't extremely important, Ahmish would never have asked him to go there where his heart was crumbled into pieces.

Well for now he was going to jump in a river when he did not know how to swim, he was going to jump off the cliff when he did not have a parachute, he was going to step in a house where his heart wasn't in his control.

As he made his way towards the house, he rang the doorbell and just wished that Rida doesn't cross his way. His heart gets constricted at the site of her and it was better that he should now gulp down the reality of his life. Although Rida wasn't the one to open the door for him, it wasn't someone he was expecting to be the host. Rehan? At their house? What was he even doing here? Did he just..? No that can't happen so soon.

Rehan was surprised to see Abdullah would be an understatement but then later acknowledged that he came here to take the children of his brother who insisted to play with the children of Rida's sister. The males were settled in the drawing room and after protesting not to come in, Abdullah lost his power to struggle and go back with the kids that instant, surely Rehan didn't let him and so did the others including the kids who wanted to play more.

"Athmah will you marry me?" Questioned Ibrahim to which Asmah slapped the little one on his cheek.

"I will marry my abbu. You are a bad boy." exclaimed Asmah as she brought her hands to keep on her waist.

"The Imam of the masjid said that glow your beards but how can I glow them without mallying?" said Ibrahim and everyone laughed around at their innocence.

"Who told you that?" a voice came to which Ibrahim pointed his finger towards Abdullah and Abdullah flushed in embarrassment in front of others. He was bubbly with friends and siblings but when it comes to elder people he's much a quite person.

"I must say you are lucky to be here this time, we've just agreed to fix Rehan with Rida." Rahil stood up from his place to pass a tray of sweet to Abdullah as he announced the good news which was actually bad for him.

"You are the first one to know this except the two families." Rehan winked at Abdullah who was sitting beside him.

It felt like his soul was numb, he was trying to give a genuine smile to the good news cracked to him but deep inside the smile was making him hurt more. He wanted to be alone with his bruised feelings but there he was in the midst of a crowd who were sprinkling the salt on his bruised heart.

No matter how much you love someone, you cannot make them love you back. No matter how much you want someone, you cannot cage them for your own selfishness. No matter how much you plan, you end up with Allah's plan.

Why were fairy tales exaggerated to happy ending when our real life at the end is turmoiled in darkness? Why did Cinderella drop her shoes and married to a prince charming when people don't really get their love? Why did snow white came back to life when people do die at the young age? Why did sleeping beauty wake up when not all people recover from their diseases? Why does stories perfectly teach us that we'll be happy at the end when we not really are end up being happy?

Where someone was agitated with the concept of fairy tales, there was someone in the same house who was fascinated with the perfect magical tales of the fiction. After all the hurdles and puddles crossed, she was going to start a new life, a life she has dreamt of, just as perfectly as the fairy tale ends.

A week before it was her Rehan who had messaged her seeking the permission to ask her hand. She was so overwhelmed with his approach that she just froze for few seconds at his message. Indeed he took long but the wait was all worth it and today was the day which she had perfectly spent when her future in laws visited her.

Five years of wait went like a blink of an eye but yet it took like ages she has been waiting for this day. The day when she had asked Rehan to block her and not to message her again, she had cried all night. That night she had experienced the true meaning of departure although they have agreed to meet up in the future. Some of the nights she would open up the saved chats and look through them for bearing the pain. She was now standing in the garden full of fruits which she had sowed with several years of patience.

"Look at her smile." Sidra said to Iqra as they came back to Rida's room while other females were still gossiping in the other room next to hers.

"What?" She said as her blush grew more intense.

"Oh my Allah, you are not even able to control your blush. Look with every passibg minute she's going more red." Iqra exclaimed as Rida slapped her hand against her shoulder.

"Stop it you two and go and help ammi and appi." Rida pouted as she dragged them both out of the room forcefully.

"You will know when you are about to get married." Rida announced as she closed the door behind.

She gave a half laugh at their teasing words and then picked up her mobile from the dressing table which she had left while getting ready few hours before.

Rehan - You have grown more beautiful!

She blushed at his remark and tapped on the group to know the previous answer.

Faith in the sense of belief is based on six principles, which are mentioned in the hadeeth of Jibreel (peace be upon him), when he questioned the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who said: “Faith means to believe in Allaah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and the Divine Decree, both good and bad.” (Agreed upon).

The new Queen of the group is writefit. *Mabrook*

"How many signs were given to Musa (alaihi salam)?"

Rida typed the answer and looked out of the window of her room which gave the full view of the entrance of her front gate and also a little garden. She saw Rehan talking to someone and before tearing her gaze apart from him she looked at him thoroughly for a while.

Astagfirullah. Haram.

She looked again to acknowledge the presence of other person without gazing at Rehan and she found out that he was Abdullah. When did he come here? May be Rehan would have called him as they three were best buddies at some point of time in life.

Oh my God. It totally slipped her mind that Abdullah had asked her hand in marriage too and how dreadful he must be feeling after being realizing the reason of Rehan being here. She was now feeling awful for Abdullah. She hurriedly tore a page from a notebook kept on her study table and inked down something swiftly. She couldn't even finish her sentence and the door she closed behind was knocked hastily. Without completing the sentence in a hurry, she wrapped the paper around a small stone which she found nearby kept in an open vase, she threw the paper out of the window towards Abdullah after making sure that Rehan was no where to be seen. The paper plopped down on the skull of Abdullah who was walking along with the kids towards his bike.

Oops.
