Housemaid Her

*refer to Chapter 39

3 YEARS BEFORE HELSINKI TRIP...

Mr. Lee Kyeong-yoo arrived at ihis new workplace. It was an averagely big building. And it wasn't really the tallest in Seoul, but it was decent for a person like him to work in.

As he walked inside, he went inside to one of the 5 floors of the overall building, making his way to the CEO who was in his seperate office.

"Mr. Kim, it's me, the new employee," Mr. Lee said as he knocked on the door, and the latter hummed as he walked inside.

"Ah, Mr. Lee, please have a seat. I would like to let you fill in this contract about how we're going to negotiate, okay?" Mr. Kim Seongjoo replied as he sat on his seat, letting the man take a seat infront of him.

Mr. Lee gives Mr. Kim all of his information, files, and identification and many more requirements for his job.

"It says here you have a family of three. It's good you are able to have a stable family at this age," Mr. Kim smiles as he scans the papers.

"Yes, I have a wife and a daughter waiting for me at home. They were really happy I got to have this job," Mr. Lee replied.

"That's really nice. I have two sons, and I'm glad you chose this company to work in," Mr. Kim replies as he takes his hand out for him to shake.

"It's nice meeting you, Mr. Kim," Mr. Lee smiles and Mr. Kim grins back.

-

Mr. Lee was packing up, getting ready to leave. He was walking towards the elevator and it was late at night.

"Redevelopment? Expansion?"

"Yes Mr. Kim, there will be an expansion after we have invested millions of dollars. And KimHit will become the biggest company in Korea by 2017, the stocks will rise 15 times more each year and the income will be millions."

"I see. Well, we need to prepare for this. Which neighborhood is going to be affected? Should we let the people move out?"

"The nearest neighborhood sir, it won't affect the people that much, a small number of people live there."

"Ah, I see. Please seal this document, and you may go."

"Yes sir."

The neighborhood near KimHit? Mr. Lee knew he was talking about the place where his family lived, he blinked as he glanced at the gap of the door of his office.

Where would they live? Where would they take care of his little girl? And his wife?

A lot of thoughts clouded his mind as he walked out of KimHit. He kept walking as he held in the words he wanted to say to confront Mr. Kim. He wanted to complain but he would lose his job in an instant.

Suddenly, in the middle of the road, he was pulled by the neck, a leather black glove covering his mouth.

"We saw you... you snitch," the person whispered in his ear and Mr. Lee froze.

"Wh-what do you mean?" He stuttered.

"You dare leak information like that? You'll still be on your knees on the end of the day begging for more money," they whispered.

"It's wrong... they're literally going to make all those poor people move out of their homes for redevelopment...," he trailed off.

"Still, you can't eavesdrop, you sick bastard. You made the wrong move," they whispered.

"I-I'll make sure everyone knows how bad you all are," he says.

"I don't think so, it would be hard for anyone to believe a dead body talking," they said.

"Breaking local news! A 30-year old man has been reported dead infront of an anonymous company. He is now being sent into autospy for the cause of his death. Reports say the suspects were unidentified."

3 YEARS LATER

YOUNGYEON POV

It was a school break back in Korea. And me and my mom weren't that poor even before dad was alive. She and I went to Helsinki in Finland because it was the goal my father really wanted, for us to go to Helsinki and have fun. It was also his third death anniversary today.

I walked beside my mom as we were dressed in thick coats, she pulled me with him as a gust of cold wind brushed against my face, making me shiver.

Soon, we arrived in a small park near the hotel we were staying in. We planned to stay for a week here, so we didn't have much time as she wanted to make sure our trip was worth it.

"Okay Youngyeon, I'll go get some warm drinks for both of us, you want to come or do you want to play here?" She asked as she gave me a small smile.

"I'll stay here please!" I replied and she nodded before walking towards a nearby shop.

I walked around the park, looking around me as I smiled to myself, it was really cold, and the grass was green and the trees were swaying with the cold wind.

Suddenly, a piece of cloth caught my eye, and it was flying because of the wind. My eyes trailed towards it as I caught it in midair.

But then, my eyes widened and I jolted sidewards as if someone was tugging me by a force, and I whisked my head towards the side.

"I-I got my scarf!" A small voice said and I looked at the person, a hand on the scarf that I was holding as we looked at each other, it was like a tug-of-war between that scarf.

It was a young boy.

He was looking at me with wide eyes, tugging at the scarf as we both grabbed the ends of it, and I stared back at him.

He was taller than me, and he had black hair and puffy lips, and a coat covered him.

"Oh, this is yours? Sorry," I said as I let the scarf go, and he took it in his hands.

"Oh... you're Korean? I was surprised you can understand me," he said as he looked away.

"Yeah, you came here too? And I can tell you're older than me," I said as I looked up at him.

"Yeah... my family and I visit here thrice a year, I really like it here," he said and I nodded.

"It's my first time here. My mom went to buy something, where's your family?" I asked.

"I wanted to go outside, so they told me I should wait for them here," he replied.

"Ah, what's your name? If I know your name, maybe I can see you again in Korea," I said as I stuck my hand out towards him.

"My mom told me not to talk to strangers. But you can call me Jin only, but there are many Jins in Korea so I'm not sure if you'll find me," he replied.

"Don't worry Jin-ssi, I'll make sure I find you everywhere until I meet you again, then we'll go to Helsinki together, I hope we meet again," I said.

"We aren't really close yet, but if we do meet I'll tell you more about Helsinki, okay?" He said and I nodded.

"Oh, and this... you can have my scarf. It's going to be cold later, and I have more at our apartment," he smiled as he placed the scarf on my hands.

"It's really fine. You don't have to-"

"You really have to. So when you look for me in Korea, just show them this scarf," he smiles cheekily before waving, running from me as I look back him.

I hope we do meet again, Jin-ssi.

A/N:

Vote or Dora will haunt you

I've read many comments talking about how Penthouse is similar to this lmao. Actually, the HH plot was already published way before Penthouse even began and way before I even watched it so I was surprised when I read the comments.

I honestly hate everyone with a deep passion there lmao <3. I think the only one I liked a bit was Seok Hoon because I see his actor a lot in other kdramas.  (Like Extraordinary You he's so handsome  ><)

^ Also, refrain from putting any spoilers, they will be deleted and it takes the fun away from other people.

I will also try to update another chapter tomorrow! To make up for the week that I wasn't updating very much ❤
