Housemaid Her

I made my way to the door, wiping my hands on my apron after washing my hands. I made my way to the door before slowly opening it, my mouth slowly tugging up into a smile.

"Oh, good evening Ms. Han! You're quite early!" I said as I gave her a respectful bow.

"Good evening Lee Youngyeon-ssi, is Seokjin here?" She asked as she nodded back, her purse pressed around the side of her arm.

She had her wavy black hair in a messy bun, and she wore a brown coat over her white dress.

"Mr. Kim went out for a while to KimHit. He needed to get some files with him," I replied and she nodded before walking inside.

"I guess Seokjin already told you that I'd be visiting him?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yes, he told me to fix you a meal! You should wait in the living room, the dinner will be ready soon!" I looked at her before gesturing to the huge couch in the living room, infront of the wide screen wall television.

She nodded at me before making her way to the living room, sitting herself down.

I made my way inside the kitchen, taking out the steak I just made, walking to the dining room before setting down the two dishes.

"Ms. Lee Youngyeon, I have a question," Ms. Han said and I made my way to the woman before standing infront of her.

"Yes, ma'am?" I replied and she handed me a small gift bag.

"Please give this to Seokjin for me, I picked it up at his favorite designer shop," she smiled softly and I nodded before taking it.

"Ms. Han, how did you get engaged to Mr. Kim?" I asked and she seemed startled by my question, and I immediately regretted asking it out of curiousity.

"It's totally fine! I was just curious since I wanted to hear how both of you got engaged-"

"It's okay. You see, I met Seokjin in elementary, for the very first time. And we met again in college. At that time my parents were friends with his parents, and they arranged a marriage between me and him, but he was older than me so he graduated first, I had to wait for another two years to get back to Seoul," she said and I nodded.

"If I may ask, how old are you? You look really managed to achieve a beautiful figure," I asked her.

"I'm a year older than her, and I heard you were 27? So that makes me 28," Ms. Han replied and I smiled before bowing.

"I see, I really hope things work out with Seokjin," I said, even though I already knew that Seokjin wasn't really interested in her, but I do hope she tries her best.

"Is Seokjin.... close with you perhaps? Did he make himself comfortable with you?" She asked suddenly.

"Oh! It's nothing Ms. Han! Me and Seokjin keep things professional here! There's no need to worry!" I nervously said, flashbacks starting to flood in my mind.

Thank God Sunghoon is asleep.

Creeakkk!

My eyes widened as me and Ms. Han's heads whisked towards the door, and our eyes set on the tall figure that welcomed themselves from the door.

"Oh, Sunyoo... you're here," Seokjin said before placing the files on the table near the door, taking his coat off to reveal the black turtleneck sweater he wore underneath paired with some skinny jeans.

"Oh, hello Seokjin," she replied softly as a red blush powdered her cheeks.

"G-good evening, Mr. Kim," I said, the words sounding foreign from my mouth.

Seokjin nodded before making his way to the table, sitting down. Sunyoo stood up and made her way to the opposite side of the table, placing her purse beside her.

"So, what did you wanna see me for?" Seokjin asked monotonously before slicing a steak in half, slicing it into smaller pieces.

"First, can we have a bit of... privacy?" She asked as she glanced at me, nodding a bit. And I took that signal to make my way outside, so that both of them can talk in peace.

I decided to make my way to the huge backyard outside, distancing myself away from the dining room.

SEOKJIN POV

"Okay... now that she's gone, what did you want to talk about?" I asked as I placed a peace of steak in my mouth.

"There's isn't really anything important I want to talk to you about, I just want to check up on you and your father. But I am.... deeply concerned," she trailed off as she chewed her food neatly glasses of wine infront of us.

"Really? What is it?" I replied.

"I'm concerned that as your future partner, you're living with a single and young woman in your own house," Sunyoo said as she looked down on her plate, not bothering to look up at me.

"Sunyoo, that girl is harmless. She doesn't have anything to do with my relationship status. But I want to address one thing, I don't want to marry someone that I'm not romantically attracted to. I want to know you as a friend of mine, nothing more, and nothing less," I replied.

Yes, to be honest, I never had feelings for Sunyoo. I mostly saw her as a classmate or a person I wanted to pursue a friendship with. There's nothing wrong with being friends with someone who is the daughter of one of my father's friends.

"I understand. But I think people would take it wrong again if they ever end up seeing you with her again, not after your press conference," she replied.

"I'll manage, don't worry. But please, don't ever address me as a future partner to you, I don't see myself as that," I replied and she nodded silently.

"Yes, but I'm worried. I deeply care about you Seokjin, I'm worried about what kind of mess you'll be in, and the fact your father is sick and the all the news and busy projects our companies are both at, as long as your fine, I'm happy-"

"That's not your business to worry about Sunyoo. Please, focus on yourself, it's not my place to tell you what to do with your life," I replied, cutting her rant and she placed her utensils down, slowly standing up before taking her purse.

"I understand, thank you for the meal, Seokjin," she softly said before bowing, and turning her heel to the exit.

I sighed deeply, looking at her as she exits the door, and I furrowed my brows before looking down at her unfinished meal.

I wanted her to be a friend. But as a friend, was I being too harsh?

SUNYOO POV

There it goes again, Sunyoo.

You made a fool out of yourself again.

And you're almost in tears again.

What did I do wrong again? Did I care too much?

I tried to hold back my tears, a soft sigh escaping my lips before straightening myself up, and my eyes slowly widened as I saw what was happening.

Rain.

The raindrops were dripping down late at night, and I sighed deeply after remembering that I forgot my umbrella and my driver decided to drive me all the way here because it was late at night.

I tapped my heel on the floor in annoyance, waiting for the rain to go away as the loud noises of the rain started to get in contact with the road.

"Oh, hello there."
