Dinner was eventfull.

Everyone in the pack was whispering about how me, a nobody got mated to one of the strongest Alpha out there.

They were for the first time in my life envious of something that i had.

And somewhere deep down it gave me happiness.

But still it did not hurt any less when i heard them talking so low of me.

When we entered the dining room everybody was stairing at us.

Especially sending mean glares filled with hatered towards me.

But My Mate growled at them. Making them bow and then look somewhere else.

I don't know why she was being this good to me.

It was not like i was very good for her. I neither had the looks nor money, that girls die for.

Being an Alpha she could have choosen anybody as her mate after rejecting me.

Yes rejection causes a lot of pain to both mates but it still happens in some rare cases.

She even made me sit with her at the Alpha table.

Earlier i did not even want to come here, and now she was making me do this.
It was not like i could refuse her though, and so i complied with her.

When other Alphas asked her about me, she did not even miss a beat before proudly introducing me as her mate and future Alpha male.

Alpha male, i don't think i was even worthy of the title she was so proudly giving me.

I did not have much of an apetite because firstly i was nervous as we, including me and Ananya were always the one to eat at last after others in our pack.

And secondly everbody was still whispering about me here and there. Ofcousre non were good.

I was kind of distracted too.

When she licked at my earlobe asking me to eat more in a sensual voice snd blowing warm breath there, a shudder went throughout my body.

Sparks travelled from there to different parts of my body, specially down there.

I was embarrased to say that her slight gesture had turned me on.

I have never felt something this before.
I mean yes i have seen a fair amount of beautiful women but it was never like this.

But i also know that she is My Mate so this kind of extreme reaction of mine to her is expected or you can say normal.

I have also noticed that she likes to hold my hand or to be continuously touching me.
Because every chance she gets she entwines our hands or anything to touch me or be close to me.

I am not complaining though, because i know even if i am scared of my feeling, my reactions i still like it.

I like her.

I shake my head.

I can't let this get to me or i will be hurt more when she rejects me later on.

Until now she has not shown amy signs that she does not like me but no one can know.

She is a Alpha.

And why would someone as beautiful and as talented as her want a broken orphan boy like me as their mate.

Nobody wants me.

With that thought in mind, i think i should let some space between us.

I mean yes i want our relationship to work but a little caution never hurts.

Better to be safe this way than later feeling sorry for it.

Yes i will keep a little distance from her, that is if i can.

My wolf whimpers at that. He does not like the thought of being away from our mate.
He wants to be close her, its a natural wolf instinct since we just met and all. He is feeling possesive and protective over her. And i dont think she will like either of those feelings to be honest.

Either way i dont know what future holds for me.

Is she really accepting me and will she love me for who i am, accepting my every flaw and past. This thought runs in my head over and over.

Soon dinners over and everyone including us heads back to our rooms to sleep.

I dont know if she would want to sleep with me or in her room.

I dont think she will be comfortable enough in my room after all.

"So i guess this is a good night then." She whispers in a breathy tone.

"Yes i think" would you like to come, was just on my lips before i stopped myself from saying that.

"Ok then. Good night My Mate." She pecks my cheeks at that. With a small blusing smile she turns to leave.

Before fully leaving though she turns around slightly and says something that i am shocked on hearing,

" You are always welcome to my to room to sleep with me, if you want to anytime at night." She adds a wink at the last and leaves.

I stand there dumbstruck. My mouth hanging open, did she just invite me to her room anytime i like. Or was that my imagination.

I pinched myself and it stings, so yes it happened.

I cant believe i have got such a funny and quirky mate.

God knows i need some spark in my dull life. And she is what i need.

I then turn and move towards my room before i take her offer and follow her on my wolf nagging to make me do so.....

Its an hour past midnight and i am still unable to sleep.

My wolf is constantly whinning inside my head like a lost puppy who wants something.

Every once in a while he growls too.
He is making me agitated.

I know what he wants, Our Mate.

He wants to take up on her offer and just lie beside her while holding her close to our body. He wants to be surrounded by her scent and refuses to let me sleep until i comply with him.

I on the other hand dont agree with him.
What if she does not like it.

I agree i am afraid of her reaction. Butbthen again she asked us to come if we liked, and we know where she is.

After contemplating some more. I finally move from my bed.

I first wear a shirt and shorts then i tiptoe my way around to her on the floor she is residing at.

There are other Alphas on this floor too so i need tp be carefull.

I finally reach her room and stand there for a few seconds considering going back before knocking on the door. I knock a few more times, just to sure since she must be sleeping.

I soon hear shuffling on the other end, thank god for werewolf hearing or she would not heard the knock i think.

The door opens revealing my mate rubbing her sleepy eyes, clad in a short silk nightgown that reaches her knees.

Her hair is a mess, but she still looks breathtaking to me.

When she notices its me she smiles and pulls me inside, closing the door behind her.

I am at a loss for words until she drags me to the bed and pushes me down then lays down beside keeping her head on my chest, keepind one hand on my chest and other tucked below her.

She also drapes her legs over me.

I am again shocked by her this action, she did not even ask me anything, she just understood i think and did this.

She looks like she is content being where she is, tucked in me.

"I could not sleep so i came here. I hope you dont mind. I can go back if you want me too." I said explaining myself to her.

"Does it look like i mind it. No i dont silly. Now sleep Mate, you worry to much" she said in a voice full of sleep that was muffled by her pressing her face in my chest and taking in my scent.

Just like that she was fast asleep.

So i pulled her close to me by tucking one of my arm below her and around her waist.

I moved her hairs away from ger face with my other hand and gazed at her.

She was a beauty to look at. Even when she was sleeping. Just like an angel. My Mate.

I kiss her on the forehead

Soon sleep comes to me after that. I think having her close in my arms calmed me down.

My wolf was content and was purring in the back of my mind.
