She asked me about my parents. And the thought of them made me sad.

So i brought my head down, too lost in my own thoughts, remembering them.

She wanted to meet them, she even mentioned about taking them with us too if i wanted. That was so sweet of her.

But how could she do that, my parents were no more.

"You can't meet them. As.. as they are no more" her expressions ranged from shock, sympathy, concern to guilt and anger. The last two i dont know why though, why was she feeling guilty or angry.

The thing that i appreciated the most was that she never once showed pity on me in her expressions, not even for a flicker of second.
She was only concerned for me as my mate.

I just needed some comfort not pity over what happened.
My parents were good people. We were a normal happy family when they were alive. But unfortunately the moon goddess wanted them back early.

I had accepted their death a long time ago. And i know they would be happy wherever they were.

"I am really sorry Ryan. If i would have had any slight idea, i would have never mentioned this. I never want to hurt you or your feelings."
She was so damn caring. How did i get to have her as my mate.

I was truly not worthy of her.

What did moon goddess see in me, to bless me with her.

Also this was exactly opposite to what i imagined her as after listening to the rumours.

Rumours were not to be believed, but still i heard she was very uptight in nature, rude and cranky to people.
Also that she did not talk much, but here she was talking to me and apologizing over every little thing to me even though everyone knew that Alphas never apologized.

This made me trust and love her even more as a mate.

Indeed i was damn lucky to have her.

I knew she did not intend to hurt me, she was just curious as any mate would have been.

As i was lost in my thoughts about her, i felt her stairing at me with an expression of uncertanity and worry.

"I know you didn't meant to upset me. Anyway, shall i get to packing then." I smiled saying this, so as to assure her that she was not the reason i was sad about.

"Yahh sure." Was her immediate response with a smile.

Ryan asked me about packing his stuff. So ofcourse i replied with a yes because we were to eager to take him home with us to our territory.

He stood up carefully by placing me on my feet first as i was still sitting in his lap.

I immediately felt the loss of his warmth and scent.

"Would you like to accompany me? Or i can go and do it myself, you dont need to be worried about it." He said with a tone of hesitation in his voice.

"I would really like to accompany you, this way I can know more about the kind of life my mate had."

He stilled but nontheless nodded his head and started walking towards the gate.

I jogged up to him and intwined our hands together.

It was a werewolfs natural instinct to want to be touching or be near their mate always if they just met. So i did not see any harm in it.

But yes the happy, go to persona was only for my mate and in private.

Outside these doors i was the Alpha that everyone respected and feared.

Even my wolf agreed with this, as according to her showing emotions in front of everyone is just a sign of weakness for us Alphas.

I followed him down the staircase. Then we reached a room situated at the very far corner on the second floor of the pack house.

This floor was for the usual or unranked pack members i think, mostly the ones that worked low profile jobs.

But why was my mate's room situated on this floor. I easily could have passed him as a warrior or more for the physique he had.

I made a mental note to ask him later. As i think his life and past was a sensitive topic for him to talk about. I would have to approach it carefully so as not to hurt hus feelings.

Also we had all the time in world now, so i can wait till he is ready and comfortable to talk about it.

Ryan opened the door andled us inside.

I inspected the room closely, it was a small decently decorated room. On one side it had a large bed, with tables on each side. At another side was his closet and what i assume to be bathroom. He also had a very nice study corner. It also had a mini bed nearby. It was not much, but good nontheless.

It gave of a very homey feeling to me, maybe because it was my mates room and it was covered in his scent.

"I know its not much but..." Ryan started to say but i cut him off mid sentence.

"Its nice. And comfy. I like it. " I replied smiling, to ease my mates worry over such a petty issue.

I did not care what rank my mate was or how much money he had, as i had all of that.

The only thing that i lacked in my life was a ray of sunshine, someone to live for and die for, someone that loved and cherished me immensely.

"I don't care about any of the materialistic things Ryan. I am happy to have found you and that's just it for me. I want nothing more. "

I saw him visibly relax after listening to me say this to him. And my wolf felt happy to have eased our mated worries.

"Ok. So you may sit on the bed or anywhere you like until i pack. Or you could see the room, if you want to that is."

As he started rummaging to find his clothes in his closet and bought a bag to fill them in, my gaze landed on of the walls that had a few pictures on it. I walked closer to have a look at them.

Some of them were from his childhood and some were from his younger years as a teenager, mostly with a girl. I think she must be the girl he was talking about taking with us.

Jealousy againg surged through me seeing them close. But i didn't let it get to me as my mate had said that he only considered her as a sister.

I again concentrated on him. I noticed he had a limited amount of clothes. Like he only had to pack two bags and he was done.

I mentally made a note to take him on a shopping spree when we reached my land. As i wanted whats only the best for my mate.

After one more bag filled with his necessities, picture albums, a few books, his charger etc he was packed.

The room now looked bare without his things in it.
